About Me

Hello! My name is Evelyn, and I’m the owner and founder of Checkered Chalk. I’m 20 years old, a college student, and currently residing in Colorado Springs, as I have been most of my life.

I started thinking about getting into business years ago, while getting coffee. A chalk board displaying the drink specials had been beautifully decorated by an employee, and I thought, ‘I wish that was my job.’ The more stores and cafes and restaurants I went to, the more fun it seemed. Then one day, I thought, ‘That absolutely could be my job!’

This idea, combined with my love for art and creative abilities, sparked something new in my life. I’m very excited to share my art with the world in a new way, and I hope you’ll join me.
